Benaco Bresciano Rosso
Marzemino, Groppello e Barbera

In the small town Picedo part of the district Polpenazze del Garda, the vineyards extend over an area of 3.90.00 hectares with a density of 6.500 plants per hectare, trained in simple Guyot with a yield of 70 quintals / ha. The soils are of morainic origin, mainly sandy limestone.
The grapes are harvested by hand separately, from the first decade to the end of September depending on their ripening time.
After destemming and soft pressing, the grapes are put in stainless steel tanks where spontaneous alcoholic fermentation begins without using selected yeasts. After a maceration of 14 days, the must is separated from the skins and put in truncated cone vats where the alcoholic fermentation is accomplished and the malolactic fermentation reaches naturally its complete fulfillment. After 4 months of ageing, the wine is bottled.

Tasting notes

Ruby red color with violet hints. Wide and complex bouquet, light spicy with hints of small red berries. The taste is soft, elegant and fresh with good acidity and sapidity.
